Later after I went to flight training and as navigator of crew 4 and new PPC of Crew 5 in VP-48. I know I didn't set any popularity records--know as a consistent S.O.B. by some of both crews; I don't apologize. We all came back alive and the crews were magnificent in all respects. I WAS GIVEN AN EARLY OUT TO GO TO SCHOOL AND LEFT THE SQUADRON IN JULY AND TOOK THE FREEDOM BIRD BACK TO THE STATES FOR OUT PROCESSING AT TREASURE ISLAND.
