Comments: I was a member of VP-47 1955-57. Served as the radar operator in crew #7. I have pictures of several overseas tours and would be willing to share them with anyone interested. Would like to hear from any of my former shipmates. I have one of our tour annuals that has pictures of all the flight crews plus some of the ground crews.

Comments: My dad, Robert O. "Andy" Anderson, was a member of VP-47 during the Korean War; stationed in Iwakuni, Japan; flew as a tail gunner in a PBM Baker Dog 7. Would enjoy hearing from any of his squadron mates, and forwarding any info to him.

was a combat aircrew member in Sea planes insupport flying out of
Iwakuni Japan and and some from Chin Hai Harbor (sea plane tender),
1950 -1953.

VP-47,VP-731 and VP-48 all three were sea plane units flying PBM' s
out of Iwakuni Japan. We would use Chen Hia now and then to refuel and
rearm to save time and extend "on station time." (if a sea plane tender
was present in the harbor)
Keep up the good work.
Regards,

Dick
