USS Winston Reunion 2008

Comments: The USS Winston AKA/LKA 94 Reunion 2008, October 15-18 is at the Holiday Inn Bayside, 4875 N. Harbor Dr., San Diego. CA 92106. The Hotel is giving us a one hour free welcome-aboard reception including beer, wine, well, and soft drinks and hors d'oeuvres, on October 15th at 5pm (17:00). There is free parking. Individuals must identify themselves as part of USS WINSTON AKA94 at the time of making reservations in order to be eligible for the special group rate $125.00+tax. Reservations received after September 22, 2008 will be provided on a space available basis. Comments: I found a Christmas menu that I designed for the Christmas Dinner in 1954 aboard the USS Winston. It lists all the officers and crew members. It's a real find. I also found a cruise highlight sheet that listed all the trips the ship made from Sept 3 54 to March 17

Comments: My father served onboard the USS Winston during WWII. I know he was very proud of his time on the ship. Would be interested if anyone remembers him. He was a baker probably in the supply division. I am also Navy having served on the USS Intrepid and the USS Independence.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who served with my Father, Larry Underhill 1966-1967. He served in the radar room.
