Keywords: Bill-Fitz ship operated from Sasebo,Japan from October 1951 through September 1952 when we retunred to Oakland or Treasure Island and was discharged from there in October 1952.Drove four fellow sailors to Missouri and I returned to Wisconsin.

Comments: EW Logsdon was our commanding officer back in 1957. Bos'n Deluca, Ensign Carey, lt. jg tannone, abernathy, Jesse Truesdale[laundry] Job,all these I commit to memory.[48 yrs. ago] I just about cried when I stepped off the gang plank for the last time. I spent one yr. on the Virgo. Previously I was stationed at Yokosuka, Japan[ one year] shore duty. [boat pool].
Keywords: Melvin Laird was my superior and best friend, he taught me alot.I would like to locate him if possible. The Virgo went on a cruise to Australia back in 1957, hong kong, japan, subic bay.
