Comments: My Dad Will Johnson served on the Happy Valley during the Korean war in 1952 . He was in 3-divison deck . He said it was real cold out on the sea off of Korea and could see the glow form the guns on the smaller ships that would go in close to land at night. He later on served on the USS Bennington in 1954 he was there when she exploded on May in 1954 killing menny good men. You can contact me at 903- 657- 9193 eny time after 1800

My name is Steven and I am the grandson of Wilbert (Web) Malloy. I am just posting to see if I can run any chance of finding someone who may have server with my grandfather on the Valley Forge. He was the Morse Code Operator for this ship. I am not sure exactly of his years of service but I believe it would have had to have been towards the end of the war.

Comments: I would like to know if anyone remembers my father Charles (Charlie) Houck. He served on the Valley Fordge in the early 50's, he said he got a "Well done". from the CO for navigating through a Hurricane. He never did talk to me about his service much, but I really want to know what he was like when he was there. He lived in Philadelphia and married Rose Marie in 1953 or '54. I don't know what he did on board because he never talked to me long enough about it. Please help me know this part of my Dad that I never knew.

Just wanted to know if you had any listing for my Brother,

I've spoken with his wing mate so I have a pretty good idea of what
