Comments: I was in the US Army and aboard the Thuban during the summer of 1955. Our mission was delivering material up through the Hudson Straights to radar sites being built along the top of the continent as early warning against soviet missiles. I would love to hear from anyone who was serving during this deployment. I got to know a few of the navy personnel but can't remember any names. I would love to share memories of this experience with anyone who can remember. Laurie Mackey.

Comments: I am researching for info on Talmadge Murphy being on the USS Thuban from 1944 until 1946. He might have just gone by "T". Was around 19 years old at that time. Anyone have info, remember hearing a loved one talking about the crew, or have a crew roster?
Thanks Raymond

Comments: I did a lot of griping, but in retrospect, I loved my times on the good old Thuban, I feel bad to think that she has been made into cars or sardine cans.
Took about 6-7 trips to Puerto Rico (Viequis), went through the canal to the west coast and then to Japan, traveled to Bermuda, New Foundland, Columbia, Havana (before Castro), St. Thomas.
I served on the Thuban from June 1951 thru October 1954.
Would love to hear from someone who might remember me.
