Comments: My father served on board Thuban from 51 to 52 just after Thuban was transferred to Norfolk, VA. I have been in touch with several former shipmates and we are trying to coordinate a reunion in the near future. I would like to know if anyone out there has experience in organizing a reunion, and if they would be willing to help me out. Although my father passed away in 1989, he was wanting to do this and never got around to it. I would like to see this happen and full fill his wishes. You can contact me at baumer61@hotmail.com, or baumer61@yahoo.com

Comments: My father, Larry A Reid, served aboard the USS Thuban from August, 1950 to August, 1951, as a Gunners Mate GMG3. A veteran of WWII and then of Vietnam, he is deceased and buried at sea. I would like to hear any information from those who may have served with him, especially Henry Tiger or Silvio. He spoke of both me to me when I was young, and I have photos of them.
