LOOKING FOR UNCLE'S SHIPMATES |
| TOM CARROLL wrote on January 23, 2012 City and State: Unit: Service or Relationship: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: Was wondering if there are any shipmates of my uncle Harry who served on the Tarawa during WWII until he mustered out in 1952. His name was Harry A Degraw from Claymont DEL & was an aircraft engine mechanic. He was also I'm told, a flagman who directed aircraft to land on the Tarawa. Any help would be appreciated. He also remembers a return trip from Cuba in Hurricane Hazel when 2/3 of the ship got sick.
