Comments: I went on The USS SWIFT out of boot camp 1951,I left
the Swift in Long Beach 1953 the day we got back from Korea and went to the USS BALDUCK APD 132 in San Diego
untill June 1954 when I got discharged.

Comments: Mc Hugh is very active and plays golf a lot and reads.

He is reluctant to have a computer. Sorry I can't give you his rank and what he did on the destroyer.
He will be 85 on the 23rd of March.

Comments: My grandfather is named Leo DeJohn, he was a crew member of the USS Swift Am 122 as well as the USS McCracken APA198. He has some text info and a small assortment of photographs, if anyone is interested in contacting him or recognize his name feel free to email me

LOOKING FOR OLD FRIENDS OF MY FATHER

Comments: I know this is a long shot, but worth a try. My father Glen L. Shrum was on one of the mine sweeps during Korean war. Not sure which on, but I seem to remember him speaking about the Swift. Have some photos of time there.
My father left Korea and returned to states and served in Com-mine pack 113 until he was transfered to the Admiral Barges as Skipper and retired in 58. So, if any reading this remember him I would sure like to hear from you.
