He and my mother lived on a base on Skaggs Island, CA from October 1951 to December 1952. Their names are Dan and Jean Apking. She worked in the ship's store when he was at sea. He was a fireman. Stormes as a Fire Control Technician from 10/28/1960 - 1/4/1963. Mr. Hutchins recently passed away from an asbestos-related illness as a result of his service on several naval ships, including the Stormes. We would be interested in speaking with anyone who served on board the ship at any point in time during Mr. Hutchins' service on this ship. Keywords:

Having departed Norfolk, VA we travelled thru the Suez Canal thence below the equator thence to Japan and Korea. Would very much like to talk with crew members of that period.
