Keywords: hopeing someone would remember my dad Phil Show. he served on the skagit durning the korean war, navy 4 years. if interested I have a detailed scrap book of his entire time . photos, news articles ect. my dad has passed and he wouldn't talk about his time in the service with anyone. all i know is that he was a bosesons mate and he drove a lcm. If anyone can remember him it would be good to hear from you. He would of liked this website had he lived long enought to know what a website was.

Comments: For those interested in the USS Skagit there was a little book published in 1995 titled "Life Aboard the Skagit" It was done by Don Vogan and is pretty interesting. I bought my copy at a used book sale, but here is the address for the publisher as found in the book.

No Price listed. It is 107 pages and has a list of those who served during its first Korean Tour in 1950-51. Just though someone might like to know.
