I found the Name of Peter Bak in the comments. I am looking for him. I would like to contact him, because his sister from Austria is looking for him. The family was coming from Hungary. I work in the Mayor Office of the City of Szombathely. The family of Mr. Baks Mother is coming from here. It would be great, to find a contact to Mr. Peter Bak, please, help me! Comments: Hello. My father was an IC electrician aboard the REMEY from about 1960-1964? His name is William Keberlein. If anyone remembers him and has some stories to share, please let me know. Comments: My friend, Joe Yandell served on the Remey from 1951 until his discharge in November of 1954. He is not computer savvy so I am assisting him in his search for any information with regards to the crew he served with. He lost his crew book and all his other records to a house fire years back and lost touch with everyone. If anyone has the ability to get him in the loop as far as reunions or information please let me know how he can contact you and I will pass on the information.

Comments: In 1961 the USS Remey conducted a reserve cruise to Halifax Nova Scotia.This was my first duty station and I must say I would have given anything to stay aboard her for my entire tour of duty. I was later stationed at Quonset Point RI aboard the USS Lake Champlain CVS 39. Does any one know if the USS Remey is in moth balls or was she scrapped like the Champ was. If anyone could tell me where to aquire a large photo it would be appreciated. I would also like to go and visit her if at all possible. I salute all of you who served aboard her.
