Went on operation Mainbrace in North Atlantic, then toured Mediterranien, then on patrol in Korean waters. Left ship on return to Youkusuka, Japan after truce signed. Made token appearance in movie being filmed there, "Bridges of Toka Ree",. After 30 day leave, went to Hospital Corps School at Balboa in San Diego, then was assigned to Naval Hospital and Flight Surgeon Team for Navy Blue Angles at Corpus Christi, Texas. Was discharged March 1956.
