Comments: Mr. Dollar, I was very surprised my sister found this web site. My Father was Warren R. May. He passed away on Jan. 25, 2005. He was eighty at the time. According to your log, he was on the USS PC EC 896 with you. He was a great man, and I miss him dearly. He worked at a refinery in this area until he retired in 1989. He was a quiet man, and shared very few of his service stories with me and my two sisters. My Mother passed away last year. I was named after a friend of his ( Kenneth ), who he served with on Kodiak Island. If anyone on this site knew my Father, and has a story or memories to share, I would love to hear them. Yours Truly, Kenneth May

Keep me informed of all upcoming events and reunions.
Would like to hear from any of my old buddies.

Lillie Neal wrote on 2000-08-28 22:56:50.0
Comments: Hello. My name is Lillie (Wallace)Neal and my late father faught in the Korean War.His name was Jack Ray Wallace-he went in under the name of Alvie Barnette Wallace who was his father,my grandfather. My father enlisted illegally using my grandpas' name because he was too young to go in under his own name.My grandfather was also in WW2 at the time that my dad went in.By the time my grandpa came back, it was too late to get my father out.I don't know how young my father was when he enlisted-I have heard stories of him being 15 or 16.I don't know too much of my fathers' life before he married my mother in 1972-73.He supposively got an undesireable discharge for being "too hostile/violent".I don't know his ranks or title-if anyone knows of a Jack/Alvie Wallace that faught in the Korean War,please email me-would love to hear from anyone who knew my daddy! Also, he was born in either Christopher,Illinois or Binghampton,NY- his mother was Maezelle Louisse (Cooke)Wallace,an Irish immigrant. Thank you for your time and reading my post,Lillie (Wallace)Neal / neal36@msn.com
