Hanson) was the commanding officer of the USS Paracutin during two of her cruises, including one in support of the Seventh Fleet's operations off Vietnam. There is a photo of AE-18 on the appropriate page of his biographical website at http://members.cox.net/ralphhanson/Autobio6.htm . Best wishes and thanks to all of you veterans.

The ParicutinAE18 made its first trip rearming warships in Nov.1950.

It operated out of Sasebo,Japan and with the Mt Katmai were the only two
ammunition ships on station during the first year of the war. We
supported the withdrawal of our troops from the "Frozin Chosen" I wish
it could be added to the list of support vessels who did such an
outstanding job keepimg the supplies flowing.
