Comments: The 975 became the Vietnamese HQ-500. It was one of the ships we maintained in the Naval Shipyard in Saigon when I was there in 70-71. I posted a group of photos taken in 1945 at the commissioning of LST 975 at: http://www.navsource.org/archives/10/160975.htm
