| DAVID ASCHE wrote on April 19, 2010 CITY AND STATE: WASILLA AK UNIT: USS HECTOR (AR-7) SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: NAVY VETERAN Comments: While in Vung Tau, Republic of South Vietnam in Feb/Mar 1972, the Hector Foundry cast two 750 pound steel anchors for this ship. The other shops aboard hector also did quite a bit of repairs, upgrades and special work on this ship. One thing we did NOT do was get rid of a whole bunch of rats that were also aboard it.
