LOUIS MO Unit: COMCARDDIV 16/COMHUKLANT Service or Relationship: NAVY VETERAN - KOREA Comments: I served as a QM on the Admiral's staff of Commander Carrier Division 16 which later became Commander Hunter Killer Forces Atlantic.I was a WWII veteran in the reserves and was called to active duty from June 1951 until October 1952. The Admiral had 4 CVE's under his command. Stationed at Norfolk, the Admiral and his staff would go to sea on each one for a period of time. They were the Kula Gulf, Mindoro, Siboney and I can't recall the other. The staff by far favored the Kula Gulf for quality of the food and cleanliness of the ship.
