Comments: I served aboard from Boot Camp unit066, after boot leave of course. from 1955-1956 was in V-1 as an E-3. The rate was frozen. I was in V-1 div and I was An airman Instead of Avation Machinest Mate. Almost the same thing. I would like to contact anyone on that cruise.

Comments: After 50 years my mother finally told me who my real dad was. It appears they were both in the navy stationed in the State of Washington. Looking for photo's or information about FT3 Lewis Innocenti. He was released from active duty January 1957 from the USS Kearsarge (CVA-33). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Comments: Hugh Eugene Hanna HUGH EUGENE HANNA Born 1-8-1935, passed away at home at the age of 73 in Riverside, CA on 8-26-2008. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Ramona, son Jimmie and daughter Denise, grandson's Joshua & Dillon. He spent 20 yrs. in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1972 as an Aviation Ordinance Chief. He was based in Alameda, CA but served in Vietnam on the USS Coral Sea; Also served aboard the USS Boxer & USS Yorktown with Attack Squadron VA-65 in the Korean War and on the USS Kearsarge and with Patrol Squadron VP-4 from 1959-62. His affectionate nickname while in the Navy was "Horrible Hughie". He continued to support the Navy throughout his life. After his military service, he went to work for Stanford Research Center and later to FMC before retiring. He spent his life giving to anyone and everyone he could. He was a good man and will be truly missed. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544 510-538-3131 Fremont-Hayward, CA.

Comments: 6-2008, I wish I kept in contact with some of the VAW Radar crew on the CVS-33 from 1966 to 1968, guys like: Williams (from down south), Sailor (the lifer), Roberts( the reserve-2 year),Cook (more crazy then me), THE ROCK Hagemeister (most liked guy in the group), the pain in the butt Chief Johnson (to mean to die), TINY (he was not always tiny),Jorgenson (wrong spelling, but I still remember him),and Rick the guy from Mexico (we bought our wifes a fur coat in Hong Kong, it seemed like a good idea after a few drinks). Comments: I was an exchange pilot on the Kearsarge in 1952 and of course took many slides. I was looking for something else but ran across a picture of a Corsair on Take off. The pilot is clearly visible as is the name on the side of his plane: Lt D.A. Crandall. I would pleased to send it to him or any relative that might be interested.

Comments: I am a boyhood friend of Herbert (Red) Miller. We both grew up in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York during the 1940s and early 1950s.
I am trying to find anyone who knew him or his whereabouts now or any information on the USS Kearsarge during that time he was on the ship. Where it was 1956-1958, what roll it played, etc. I would love to have any copies of pictures of him and/or the crew he was in.
