Comments: My dad was in the Korean War. He was born in Portland, Oregon. He spent all his adult life as an elementary school educator in California, in Orange and Porterville. His remains are interred near the Korean War Memorial of San Joaquin Valley.

Comments: Served on the Holly Maru for the better part of three years from '65 through '68. Mostly in Westpac. Homeport Yokuska for two years plus one weastpac cruise. Extensive NGFS offshore Viet Nam. Wouldn't trade a minute of it for anything. God Bless Lisa Yuen from Hong Kong, I miss her even today. Would like to see a copy of the second cruise book . ('68?). I have the first book and payed in advance for the second but never recieved it. Thanks to all who served. Larry Beach

Comments: I was a signalman on the Hollister from 1971 to 1973 and would like to hear from anyone that might have served on that WesPac cruise from JUN '72 to Jan '73 when I left to come home and get out. I remember the Boyce brothers, Gigliraol but not many other names.

Comments: My grandfather William "Harry" White was a Gas Turbine Engineer during the Korean War on the Hollister. He died in 1989. Does anyone remember him or have any stories or recollections about him (Good or bad!)? I would like to hear from you if you do.
