Ward, Jr. ("Sam"), and was commander of the Herbie J from 1950-1952. I have heard from many who served with him, but am anxious to hear anything and everything. I never met my father, you see, and have only recently found these sites to find out something about him. If anyone has ANY pictures or whatnot, please notify me? Thank you so very much in advance!
