Comments: Looking for anyone who remembers my father, William Hart, who served in the navy assigned to USS Henrico in 1945 in California. He got sick and never shipped out with unit and eventually was medically discharged. I have recently been researching my father's military history and would like to know if any veteran's remember my father.

Comments: I served aboard the Happy Hank from 1949 to December 1951. I was in the electrical department rising to the rank of second class electrician. This ship was the ship featured in the movie "I was an American War Bride". I went aboard after the movie was made.

USS Henrico has reunions every two years and a great association which keeps tabs on thosewho served or were transported on the "Happy Hank" to Koirea. Henrico landed troops during the 1950 invasion of Inchon and was pleased to serve fresh cold whole milk to thousands of "guests" on their way to Korea and back to States!!! Welcome Aboard!
