I was the coxswain on the starboard whaleboat and also ran the liberty party boats when we anchored out. Hong Kong with an LCM was a real trip. I must have run over a half dozen sampans. NO NOT REALLY. Hey! if Albert Clark is still alive I have (1) question, do you remember that 38 Dodge we bought in Long Beach and then drove back home on leave? We dropped off shipmates from Arizona to Miss. your home before me and Charlie Ebersole drove on up to WV. Would love to hear from anyone on board at that time.

Apparently this organization is expanded to include all mariners who
serve aboard USN ships with the name "Helena".
He was a Fire Control Technician. I told him that I would take some
time to search the internet for former shipmates and tell them about the
organization. You can call him at (714) 894-8539. In his eyes and
voice you can feel the sea and the times when he talks about his stint
in the Navy, and it's my honor to listen.
