HANK RADARMAN |
| JENNIFER KORBY wrote on August 28, 2008 CITY AND STATE: UNIT: SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: My Father, Carl E. Korby served as Radarman on the USS Hank from 1953 to 1957(?) during which time he lost my oldest sister to SIDS. Sometime after that, he was granted home-duty somewhere in Pennsylvania. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who can tell me about any experience on the Hank from 1953-1957 and of course anything specifc about my father. He did not speak much of his service on the Hank and all I know is that he was a radarman and a sharpshooter. Keywords: |
