Comments: I served aboard the Hamul AD20 for approximately 2 months (November & December, 1951). I was a radioman in the Flag division (Admiral's staff). I had transferred to the Flag when Hamul relieved the Bryce Canyon for rotation. In December, 1951 I traded billets with a radioman on the USS Brush DD745. The Brush was tied alongside with three other destroyers.

My wife's brother, Sturgill F. Ratliff, served aboard USS Hamul AD-20
as a radioman. He is now deceased and I am trying to learn more about
his naval experience for his family.

You do not list his ship, but I am holding a letter from him dated
January 2, 1951, mailed fom Sasebo, Japan. He mentioned the battleship
Missouri being anchored near the Hamul.

Will you do some checking to see if the Hamul should be added to your
list? Thank you for your project.
