Comments: Spent 3 months in Baltimore getting ship ready for commissioning. Have memories of great crew and the fine job done by all hands in supplying the fleet. Left ship in April 1946, think it was Ulithi or Majuro along with about 12 others. We returned to Pearl on 3 LCI's as part of their limited crews at 6 knots per hr. Quite a difference from the normal Graffias cruising speed of 15 knots.
We had a great musical unit under Texeira,(a cook) which performed for us at intervals at sea. Have become a pacifist as a result of our tour of Nagasaki in September 1945. Supply officer, Warren Jenney, and disbursing officer, Bob Fabrizio, Dixon, warrant and other fine young officers made for a fine crew. Original skipper was Bernard Caraher, replaced by Doolin after 1st voyage. Would like to hear from any crew members.

Comments: Activities of auxiliary vessels operating with the Seventh Fleet (i.e. AF, AO, AE) based in Sasebo, Kyushu, Japan, during 1950 and 1951. Especially those ships involved in UNREP (underway replenishment operations). Interested in photographs of such operations and in particular, seeking photos of USS Graffias taken from ships alongside during ops. Interested in contact with former members of the Graffias crew during the period from September 1950 to June 1951.
