I am interested in finding out more about this ship (when was its keeled laid, class ship, decommissioned, etc.). The picture came with service ribbons and the name John W. Bloomingdale is indicated. The ports of call of the Berry during Mr. Bloomingdales tour of duty were Jamaica, St. Thomas, Lisbon, Egypt, Greece, Cuba, Spain, San Juan, France, Italy, Bibraltar, and the Azores. If anyone can provide information about the ship, the sailor, of when this photograph may have been taken please feelfree to contact me. I can provide copies of the photo upon request.
