He passed away in 1996 and I am trying to piece together his career in the Navy. He did not talked much about his time in the Navy, so I need some HELP. My brother has his Purple Heart, but we can not found any information in his miitary papers that states that he recieve it. I even sent for a list of his ribbons and medals from the National Personnel Records Center and still no luck. If anyone can help us we would be very grateful! Keywords: His nickname was "Buddy"

Dad mentioned working on planes and something about Iceland and Greenland. He had a birthmark which was a white lock of hair on his forehead that was very distinguishing from his head of black hair.
