Looking for Info on a Lt Col Radford C West

Comments: He served in WWII as a Major. He was in the Marine Fighting Squadrons VMF-211 from Aug 1942-Oct 1942. All I know after that was he was KIA 2-8-1951 during the Korean War as a Lt. Col. I would love to find some information on him. Thank You

Keywords: Nickname: Ronnie or Ron Dad(Ronnie), mom(Mildred) and my oldest brother John(a baby then) lived in Jacksonville, Flordia sometime during his tour:1951-1954. Dad mentioned working on planes and something about Iceland and Greenland. He had a birthmark which was a white lock of hair on his forehead that was very distinguishing from his head of black hair.

Comments: i`m looking for someone who might of knew my father,george h. rhody.and i`m pretty sure he was on ship 442.he also had a friend there ,ben larson,i think.you see, my mother passed away in 1979.and he got remarried in 1989.[i was born in 1957].ALL my life at home, with my parents,my father had a picture of this ship that i looked at all of my life.i mean EVERY meal i admired this picture,and i`m pretty sure it was 442, not 445.if anybody out there know`s of this please contact me ..oh by the way, that other bitch got everything,including,the picture of the ship , someone who could care less, ya`know ? so i would greatly appreciate any info on this matter ,,god bless. thank you.

Comments: I am looking for a list that has the day and month of each assumption of command plus the full name to add to my data base I have some names and partial dates from cruise books of the ship, but they all are incomplete. Someone might have a Change of Command ceremony program, or copy of the decommissioning program that might have the full list. Would like to get a copy of the decomm program for my file...Does association have any ships patches for sale ??? Appreciate help. Thanks Shipmates !!!
