Comments: I am trying to make contact with anyone who remembers my Dad Max Bartram Sr who was an oil king on the USS Essex. I'm not sure about the exact dates but it was between '54 and '58. We are having a 70th birthday party for him 2/9/09 and he would love to be get cards, etc from fellow Blue Noses. Have already made contact with Paul Langmaack.

Comments: Found: "OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHS Not To Be Used For Publication By Order Of The Chief Of The Bureau Of Aeronautics". The date stamped is 13 AUG 1944. Photo includes service men, officers standing in front of a huge War Operation Map. Also a photo of 7 men: Herman, Trimble, Murray, Swanson, Quisenberry, Doherty, and Beck.
