OWE MUCH OF MY SUBSEQUENT CAREER TO PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTOOD HOW TO GET ME ON THE RIGHT TRACK. SNYDER, BMC/ R.G. OUTLAW, MMC/ GROSS, CS2,/ MAYS, BM2/ HOLT, GM2/ AND THE GUN BOSS, LTJG CARTIER. DISCHARGED 12/53, REENLISTED 2/54 AND SERVED ON TIN CANS FOR 8 MORE YEARS, WENT TO SUBS FOR FOUR MORE AND VIET NAM FOR A YEAR. FIRST TOUR SHORE DUTY IN 67-68 BACK TO NAM FOR FOUR MORE YEARS. RECRUITER AND FINALLY RETIRED IN 1979. I'M 100% SC DAV AND LIVE SO FAR BACK IN THE HILLS OF AR. WE HAVE TO PUT DIAPERS ON THE CHICKENS TO KEEP HOOT OWLS FROM CROSSBREEDING.
