Recently, I found a picture of his ship. At the bottom, I think it says: USS CURTISS (V-4), 19 DEC 1945 At Whangpoo River, Shanghai China. Anybody out there still, that was on it then, or related to someone who was? My dad's name was Charles Johnson. Alot of people called him Charlie. I believe he was a cook in the galley and it was this ship he was on that was hit by a kamakazie. I remember him talking about having to go into Guam to have it repaired, I think. He also talked about being able to see his brother while in Guam. His brother, Richard Johnson, was in the Army at the same time my dad was in the Navy. Just curious, Charlotte Johnson Keywords: |
