Comments: In response to Jake Ritchie and Byron Gimmer,i was on USS COMSTOCK same time you was.I was in 1st div.for a short time,then became a cook with Carl Laymon,Dickie Waymire,and big smitty then went to amphibous base at coronado calif,got discharged 1959,rank of cs3.Remember guys garcia,costa,thompson and frank from Guam.Let me hear from you shipmates.

Comments: I have been looking for DuWayne Breault for year's and to day a friend that I work for part time found this Web sight and who's name showed up one and only DuWayne Breault. We went to class ( A ) metalsmith school 1954 and 1955 We both went aboard the USS Comstock LSD 19 after school in 1955. I stayed on for 42 month. Got off in June 1958. DuWayne e-mail me ASP

Comments: My father, Wallace Jensen, was a machinist's mate on board the USS Comstock, LSD 19 during the Korean War. He served from sometime in 1947 until discharge in March 1952. He was also involved in operation Sandstone.

I am trying to find out some information on where I could get maybe a copy of the deck log or any other information on how I could help him locate his lost friends.
