Comments: I sent a message earlier looking for information about my daddy who served on the USS Colahan from 1951 to 1955. I stated that he was in Sasebo Japan and that I know one person who served with him, Charles Mills. I however left out my daddys name: Tommie F. Jackson. He was from Kingston, TN. I'm sorry I left out that information earlier. Sincerely, Rhonda McClure

WAS WITH TASK FORCE 77 WHEN WE SHELLED THE RAILROAD YARDS AT INCHON. I THINK WE RAN A DEPTH CHARGE ATTACK ON A SUB DURING THAT TOUR.

MANY GOOD TIMES IN SUBIC BAY, AND MANILA.

THE ERBIN, TWINNING, AND SHELDS WERE OUR DIVISION.

THE FULL STEAM RACE FROM MIDWAY TO PEARL WAS ALWAYS A BLAST.

I WORKED IN THE GALLEY IN MY FIRST FEW MONTHS AND REMEMBER SENDING A SHIPMATE NAMED "SCHERDELLA" ON A MISSION TO THE OTHER THREE SHIPS (WHILE TIED UP TO THE TENDER)FOR SOME OATMEAL SUGAR FOR THE OATMEAL COOKIES. THATS LIKE THE "SKYHOOK"!!!!

LIKE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE FROM THE COLAHAN DURING THAT "WAR"
