Comments: I worked aboard the Cimarron AO-22 in the engine room between '52-'55. I have very fond memories of my time while serving aboard her. My rating was MM2. I was also Capt. Jukes' (sp) driver when in port. One of my good friends Emil Conforti from NY.

Comments: I have a uss cimarron zippo lighter and am looking for a little history on this lighter. My father served in Korea and Vietnam. The lighter was left to me by him. I did not know him so I would like to know some of the history of this ship.

Thanks

Comments: I have a dear friend Mr. John Garland Griffin who served on the USS Cimarron during the 1940s and he is trying to receive a copy of the citation that was awarded to your task force. I would appreciate any information that you may be able to give me to assist him in this venture. He was a BM2 with service number 2662245. He does not have internet service but I could forward any correspondence from his shipmates to him. Thank you for your help God Bless you all!! Dennis Sult

The Cimarron was in service during the Korean War. She sailed with the

war.

I was a crewman recalled to active duty during this time. There was a
ship's reunion this past October which I was unable to attend.
