Comments: My dad served on the USS Champlain in the Navy he was very young in his late teens during the Korean War. He was known as The Painter at one time, for he was always drawing. He were told he was MIA at one time but came back. His name was Michael Brockmeyer. I am trying to find any information about him, I am told by the navy his records were lost. I was young when he died and never really asked him about his time in the war and now would like to know.

Comments: If anyone out there served with my Dad, I would love any info you could give me of your service time with him. Also, we found some pics of a Mediterranean tour, and a gentleman's name in the back of the photo album. It was Don Phelps, 4111 Vermaas Ave., Toledo, OH. There are only a few, far away pics of my Dad, and I would love to give these pics to Mr. Phelps or family members.
