Comments: I have been trying to determine which ship it was that carried the 5th Marine Regiment to the Inchon invasion on Sept.15,1950. I believe I have narrowed it down to the USS Cavalier or the USS Henrico. I would appreciate any assistance I can get. Semper Fi, Lee N. Mead

Comments: Looking for anyone who may have known my father. Alvin Allen Aikins also known as "buddy." He was discharged May 1951 served in Asiatic Pacific Theater, American Theater, UN Korean Theater.
Dad passed away in 1964, when I was 10 years old. I have very little information about him so anything you can come up with would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You Patricia

Comments: I would like to hear anything from the crew members of the USS CAVALIER who knew Johnny Hoover. I wish to know his whereabouts. I've been lokking for him for so long and I really wish to see him personally. I am his grandson in the Philippines. Hoping for your reply. Thanks.

I didn't see my old ship on your list of Navy Ship. It was the
USS Cavalier APA 37 and it was the only APA in the area when the North
moved south and we moved MacArthur Troops from Japan to Korea.
Then made the Inchon Landing (I made the third wave as cox. of LCVP)
Also made Wonson Landing over the Mine fields in the Harbor.. Before
going home to San Diego.
