Carrier Radioman Korea 52-53

Comments: I was Radioman in OR Division on USS Bon Homme Richard during 1952 Korean tour on the line, then to Staff ComCarDiv One and another combat tour (1953) on USS Boxer and USS Lake Champlain. Interested in contacting any BHR or CCD-1 radiomen or other Task-Force 77 radiomen from that era. Have written comprehensive book about radioman's life aboard six CVA carriers during Korean War and aftermath.

Comments: Looking for any information or Photo's of the carrier during the Vietnam mid 60's. My husband flew off the carrier at that time and was shot down and I am trying to get any information on the Bonnie Dick as my husband loves to call her.

Comments: My father served on the Bonne Homme Richard during the Koeran Conflict. I am looking for anyone who might have served with him. He is still very much alive and just as humours as I am sure he was back then. I just want to know if the picture of him and two other sailors posing with a shark was really caught by him or did the bottles they are holding in the picture have anything to do with story. Comments: One Sunday morning we were up around Vladivostok, Russia. About 20 miles off-shore, and the Russians sent a few MIG's over to'check us out'. Keywords: I was in the Electronics Repair Division ("T" Division) on board the USS Missouri BB63 in 1952-1953, When we were engaged in firing operations on the railroad yards at Wonsan and other ports, the USS Bon Homme Richard was most often the carrier that accompanied us, along with two heavy destroyers and sometimes a heavy cruiser. It was a real comfort to see that carrier not far away!
