Comments: I am a county service officer in Williamson County, Texas. I am trying to help a former Marine with a PTSD claim with the VA. If anyone remembers a bad Amtrak accident in June of 1957, where several Marines were killed and injured, I would appreciate them contacting me ASAP. We are having trouble convincing the VA it happened.

Comments: I am a plank owner of USS Bexar, having helped put her into commission in October, 1945. Was Chief in charge of landing craft and auxilliaries during shakedown. Left her in San Diego December 7, 1945. Am delighted to find that she had an illustrious lifetime.
