Comments: I don't know how I got it but I want to give it back to James L. Wagner or a family member. He served in 52 & 53. It's his daily log that he kept and Personnel Records. I know the DOB, Service Number, and Operating Schedule. His first daily log was when he got on board in San Diego, CA July 19th 1952 till his birthday in March 1953. He put a lot of time working in it and I want to give it back. Please contact me if you know the exact birthday and service number.

Comments: I have had the good luck to come upon the navy pea coat that was owned by Carl L. Welch, with his ID and ship beautifully embroidered within. It is a wonderful coat, appearing to be from the period of late '40's to early '50's, but that is only a guess. I have been unable to find any info about Welch, but wonder if any veterans from the Bing Ding knew him. The family now may want his coat, though I love it dearly. Thanks to all, Mary

Comments: Looking for Jerry O'conner who served on the Badoeng Strait durring the Korean conflict. I have no knowledge about my grandfather, but for what I'm able to find out about the ship he served on 1948-1950 San Diego Harbor.
Jerry and my grandmother did not marry. I was born September 29/1950. I had one tiny photo of my grandfather that another also serving on the Badoeng Strait at the same time, sent to me about 10 years ago. It was a photo from a Year Book I believe.
My house flooded 4 years ago. During the same storm my home burned to the ground. I lost everything but the small bag I'd packed to stay overnight with a friend.
All my photos, keepsakes, house goods, clothes - everything. What hurts the most is the loss of my photos.
I'm fine, have put that loss behind me. What I want most of all is another photo of my grandfather.
Is there anyone out there who has a photo of Jerry O'Conner? Please send one to me.
Thank you so much,
Susan Murphy
