Comments: To my dad's shipmates aboard the USS R.B. Anderson (DD 786) from 1950-54.

RD2 Carl M. Dillree, originally from Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away at his home in San Diego, CA on May 17, 2009 at the age of 78.

Dad always remembered his shipmates fondly and was proud to serve with them aboard the Masked Rider.

To all the Vets who have served our family says Thank You for your service. We wish the families and friends of the Vets who have passed away a safe and peaceful Memorial Day.

Comments: Stay in dicky b for almost 2yrs, and we were like just a family on board ship. The vietnam action is big memory for me,especially those un-reps,working party, all hands carrying ammo by hands side by side and the stay to tonkin gulf for almost 60 days on patrol also shore bombardment its amazing we just load ammo and all of sudden is gone we have to get some more ammo, fuel, food and etc. Its a wonderful experienced for a kid like me during those time and the responsibility that I've learned on board ship which I have taken in my civilian life to be dependable and reliable thanks God I survive and go on with my life..

Keywords: Iam looking for cesar gonzales and the rest of the filipino crew on board the dicky b its a great ship and learned a lot about teamwork. We're all separated during decommissioning in the 70s.He's great in karate demonstration in ship whenever there's some bbq party at the fantail.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated by her.

Comments: wondering where Robert Collier, known as Robin in 1960=61,from Corpus Christi, Texas, is today. A man showed up at a yard sale in spring of 2002 that I thought could be him, but was gone before I could ask, as I was busy at the time. Lakefair in Olympia was the time I met him and Tom Ruckdashel.

Comments: Did the Anderson carry military dependents to and from Japan? I thought that was the name of the ship I was on going back to the States in 1952. If this was the ship I was on I'd love to know if there is a picture available on the net.
