Comments: For more information about our association, contact H. Dean Wall at above addresses or 828-724-4296. We have found mates from 1946 thru 1969, when the Alstede was decommissioned and sold.
I also served on the USS WHITESIDE AKA-90 FROM 1952 TO 1953 in the Gunnery Division.
Keywords: The Association was formed in 1994 at our first reunion in Myrtle Beach, SC, reunions are held every two years on the even years. We have located some 550 former shipmates.

WE HAVE BEEN AVERAGING ABOUT 180 SHIPMATES AND WIVES TO EACH OF OUR REUNIONS. IN BRANSON, WE HAD MORE THAN 30 SHIPMATES AND WIVES WHO SERVED ON BOARD THE BEST SHIP IN THE FLEET FROM 1946-1950. PLEASE CONTACT ME SO THAT YOUR NAME CAN BE ADDED TO OUR MAILING LIST. OUR NEXT REUNION WILL BE DURING THE SUMMER OF 2002. WE PROMISE THAT YOU AND YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER WILL HAVE THE BEST TIME OF YOUR LIFE. LETS REKINDLE OLD FRIENDSHIPS WITH OLD SHIPMATES.
