Goss. Goss had been on the Alstede for 11 years. The Asst. Chief Eng. was CWO 4 Balfore under the Chief Eng. LtJg Tanner. Another Boillerman was BT 1st Class H>H> Rainer( who got busted down to BT 3 for cutting another man in Vailejo, CA. THe Alstede carried 666,666 Gal of black oil and 6000 gal of desiel fuel. 40,000 gal of Distilled water for the Boilers and 64,000 Gal. of fresh water. Charles Smith was a MM 2nd Class.
