Comments: Served on the Ajax from 11/3/67 to10/3/73. The first three years were Shop Sup in OSR and the last 3 years was in the Repair Office as the ARRS. As I age, it seems important to be able to contact any shipmate just to remember old times. It was great duty as was the crew both ships company as was the repair dept. The repairs that were completed during the Viet Nam era to keep the ships in the war zone I feel could not be matched by anyone ship. All the memories of those days are precious. Comments: Served on the Ajax from 52-54. I boardered her in Japan. When she returned to San Diego and then returned to Japan. I was transferred to the Luzon until discharged. I found out that my grandfather William Kinder also service on the Ajax.

I am searching for any of my fathers old shipmates. The only info I have is that he served in the Navy from Feb. 19, until 1945. His name was William (Will or Bill) Wright Rogers. He was from Tn. My understanding is that he was a 'boiler maker'. If you have any info, please contact me. My father died in Feb, 1992.
