My Dad served on the U.S.S. Abbot

Comments: My Dad (SSM 3/c Bernard P. Shields) served aboard the U.S.S. Abbot in WW2, 1943-45. He worked in the ship's laundry. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone that served with him.

I served Aboard the Abbott from June of 1951 to June of 1954.
