He was buried @ Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 West Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236. Buried at: Section R Site: 2175 Note: Son of Harry Clinton Kinsman and Elizabeth Chambers Stevens. I need his Rank, any medals/Awards, Specialty, battles he fought in, name of ship he was on and when he mustered out. Any help on this woul be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Comments: Would like to here from Sailors or Marines from that era.I was there (Camp Mc Gill almost 2 years).Made that taxi and bus trip to Yokosuka many times.How about Souviner ally,Oriskney,Bonn Homme Richard,Yorktown,Bennington,Hornet and a lot of other carriers used to visit.Any one remember the bar scene,The Black Cat ,Bar Monroe,Bar Lucky,H-Bomb bar,Brothers pawnshop,etc. also the Enlisted men club where we exchanged our dollors.It is a scene probably long gone. would like to fine Sgt,Joe Nolan originally from Staten Island and was last living in Kings Park,NY. I believe around Church St.Appreciate any feed back on these comments from anyone,Gary F. Bailey

Comments: Reported to Tokyo in August 1952. Was assigned to the office of Adm Robert P. Briscoe. Moved to Yokosuka in 1953 where I continued to work for Adm Briscoe until September 1953. Moved to Special Services and was in charge of the sports equipment and the baseball field. After leaving Japan in 1954 I was assigned to the USS Rochester CA 124 and later the USS Toledo CA 133. left the Navy in 1962 after serving aboard the USS Gen. George M. Randall TAP 115 transporting troops and their dependants to Germany. Would love to hear from anyone who might have served back then in Japan and aboard those ships.

TURNER JOY. THEN SHIFTED TO YOKOSUKA IN 1952 AND REMAINED UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1953. THEN REPORTED ABOARD THE USS MONTROSE UNTIL 1956. THEN JOINED THE US ARMY AND RETIRED FROM THE US ARMY RESERVE IN 1994.
