Was assigned to the office of Adm Robert P. Briscoe. Moved to Yokosuka in 1953 where I continued to work for Adm Briscoe until September 1953. Moved to Special Services and was in charge of the sports equipment and the baseball field. After leaving Japan in 1954 I was assigned to the USS Rochester CA 124 and later the USS Toledo CA 133. left the Navy in 1962 after serving aboard the USS Gen. George M. Randall TAP 115 transporting troops and their dependants to Germany. Would love to hear from anyone who might have served back then in Japan and aboard those ships. Keywords: |
