Comments: I was blown off the top of a hill in that vacinity and landed 75 yards behind and on my behind. This was around the first part of August 1951. The damage to my back did not fully surface until many years later when I had to have a couple of discs removed from my lower spine.

The DAV contends that I should be elegible for the "Purple Heart" if I can find any witnesses to that enemy artillery barrage. Please respond if you have any information--thanks.

Dear Hal:

I, too, am the child of a Korean War Veteran and am helping my father
search for information about the war and those he served in combat with.
My father's name is Chris A. Bruskas and he was in the US Army from 23
September 1952 through 8 July 1954. He was a member of the I Corps
Artillery in Korea.

If you could help me locate some additional information pertaining to
his unit, current activities or associations he might get involved with
in our area, or other items of interest, I would be most appreciative.
