Korea-Agent Orange

Comments: My husband was in Korea from 67-69.(Ron Zuchowski)He passed away 4 weeks ago.He had esophegeal cancer, which had spread to his stomach and was at stage 4,he also had type 2 diabetes(he had bladder cancer 10 yrs.ago)His claim was denied twice,the last being this year.He knows that his illness was tied in with the spraying of agent orange.They say that we didn`t have enough evidence,but he remembered alot of what went over there.I remember him mentioning Camp Hovie and Imjin River and the DMZ. If anyone has any information about the spraying of agent orange,I would really appreciate.If I can get enough evidence I can apply for a new claim.Any help would be really helpful. Co. E 2nd Engr. Bn. Oct66 - May68

Comments: I arrived at E Co. Camp Peterson Oct 1966 - May 1968.I was in the maint. platoon, we lived in the cement block building on the hill behind the mess hall.I worked in the motor pool as a mechanic, worked mostly on bridge trucks, and dump trucks.I can't remember too many names, but here are a few: Michael Stewart, Stanley Joe Sandi,Thomas Johnson,SFC Oakley, David Register thats all I can think of right now, I have many pictures in the attic, I'll have to bring them down and take a look at them. I married my Korea girlfriend in April 68, we are still married after 41 years. We went back to Korea this past April- May, this is about the 3rd time I have been back there. I retired from Ford Motor Co. in NJ. my former home state, in 2003, I moved to Palm Coast, Fl. in 2004. I have had a great life, and I am in good health, and I hope all who I served with are in good health as well. I would like to hear from anyone that I served with or remembers me.

Camp Hovey 1965 - 66

Comments: Looking for anyone that served with 3-32 IN, 7th ID winter of 1965 - to winter 66 at Camp Hovey.

I served with C 3-32 IN and HHC 3-32 IN. I've remained in contact with a couple people since leaving Korea and retiring from the Army. How many more Badgers out there. Toomey who worked in the Arms Room HHC 3-32 IN passed away after retiring. Gliff Evans who worked in S-4 lives in northern CA. SGT Johnson who also worked in S-4 is still alive and kicking. He lives in FL.

Boy do I remember the winters in Korea - Burrrrrrrr. Made the tours in VN and other warm climates more tolerable

Comments: Got to korea about sept of 64. was stationed at camp hovey . was in motor plt . did some patrols on DMZ and worked "Charlie Block" and many Alerts. Dont remember many names but Jim Jenkins , Pat Hall , and a guy name Ron from wis or mi rings a bell. Got a pic of me and Dr mc cullough and a fellow named Scaggs at the EM club.Left korea 1965 went to Germany then in1967 went to Naum. Was with 3/5 cav "Bastard Cav" until 1969.

Comments: We spent 13 month tdy in 1966 / 1967. Has anyone put in a claim for agent orange? If you have, what is the status of your claim? Let me know, because I'm working on mine.

Keywords: My unit (5/38 Artillery 2 Inf. Div) was located near the DMZ north of the town on 'Mun san ni'. The only guys I remember is last names, Monhoccia from N J, Zitto from NY or NJ and a Staff Sgt. Roper.

Comments: Am looking for Doc Torres HQ'S Co 2/23rd from Camps Greaves and Lawton. He was a medic,and my buddy.We spent many hour's in the NCO Club at Camps Greaves and Wilson.I am also looking for PFC Lennox of "C"Co 2/23rd.I was with a GI on gaurd in a small tower that was wounded on the fenceline.Lennox was wounded on the fenceline in Oct '68 and I think I might have carried him out.I never saw him again and was wondering if he is the guy I helped.My memory is gone about the incident and time and he is the only one that I have found any info about.If anyone knows either of these guys or knows any info about them please contact me.
