Comments: Thanks to all who have and are serving but, mostly to those who are no longer with us to celebrate this Veterans Day, those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, God speed.
Was just 17 when I got there. Was a field commo wireman until I got in an argument with my commo chief, then became a #6 gun crewman driving a duece an ahalf pulling a 105. The entire gun crew was madeup of Katusas except me and the gun crew leader an E5 who's name I can't recall in fact I can picture alot of faces , just can't put names to them (fading memories). We switched over to Self Propelled units with twin caddie engines ad full track, fun to drive with them twin sticks for steering especially going downhill. I do remember Larry Lee, he was the co's jeep driver, he was from LA, California and I remember another guy we used to hang out together with, his last is Vukan don't recall first name, I think he was from Arizona, a big russian looking guy.
They where kinda fun times when you weren't freezing your butt off, $1 for a carton of smokes, sold them to mama san for $10, bak yang and ob beer, anyway if anyone remembers me I would be happy to hear from you or if you just want to BS about the "Good ol Days"

I met lots of good people from all over and I was able to travel to many different places in and out of Korea. I would like to hear from friends and people that I met during my work in 1967-68 Korea.

Comments: Need to find out the grid coordinates and/or geographical location or the location of a project site at TAC SITE #3 AND #4 near the DMZ. A camp name with a grid coordinate would be great. This is to help a Vet file an Agent Orange Claim. So we need help finding and connecting B. Company, 802d Eng Bn in August 1969 with a location and evidence that the construction site he was working at was contaminated with Agent Orange. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Comments: I need information that Agent Orange or any other herbicides was used on the DMZ or Camp Casey in 1967. I served two tours on the DMZ and during one tour we cleared all the plants, weeds, etc., after they had been sprayed with some type of herbicde. In fact the plants were still wet when we cut them down and removed them.
Your help is appreciated.
God bless all veterans that served and are currently serving.

Comments: Now that I've read some of these posts I kinda feel vindicated for my senior moments (haha).I shipped to korea from fort ord,ca after AIT as a field commo crewman end of June 1960, I don't really remember the unit I was assigned to. After a couple of months I got in a fight with my commo chief (he was a jerk)and they reassigned me to the artillery unit (we had 105's & 155's)I drove a deuce and ahalf pulling a 105, I was the #6 gun crew which was made up all ROKS except me and the gun chief, he was a E-6 and I was a Spec4 not to long later our towed 105's & 155's were traded for Sp's with twin caddie engines and twin stick steering, not sure of the nomenclachure.
The only names I can remember are Larry Lee he was from LA, CA, he was the driver for the Co. LT Commander ( a cool dude) and Vukan (don't remember first name) I think he was from Arizona (big russian looking guy) kinda guy your happy to have as your friend especially in a fight. I used to buy the cig coupons from those that did'nt smoke for a buck or two apiece. I still can see mamasan shouting tone pakun da (change money)as she's throwing it over the fence when it came time to change the mpc.
Good times/fading memory's, love to hear from anyone who wants to share their fading memory's.

Planned to marry a Korean woman (my grandmother), but he died just before they could. Their child was ~7 months old. They first met at the U.S. Army Services Club (Camp Red Cloud), where she worked.

Comments: I am looking for information on the 7th Inf. div, 2/31 Infantry that was at Cp. Casey in Happy Valley. What year did they move into Happy Valley, and when did they leave it? I would LOVE any pictures of Happy Valley from that time frame for a web page I am working on. I think the 1/72 Armor moved in after the 2/31 departed, but not sure. I know they call it Dragon Valley.

Comments: My name is Dick Gribble and i am looking for a friend by the name of Jerry Jablinski that i served with in Co B 2/72 in 1968 & 1969 at Camp Johnson. Would also like to hear from vets that have their caims witrh the VA for AO exposure. I have a C&P on the 28th of this month for my claim. I served on the DMZ in 68 but don't remember the dates. Kind of disappointing that so many years have passed away before we were notified. I just became aware in March of this year when my brother told me to check it out. Finally an answer to my DM11 and all that goes along with it. No family history and no risks for it. Understand that David Benbow is working hard for Vets who served on the DMZ in the units recognized and also the units not recognized. Phil Stewart is also giving it his all in this fight. Look forward to hearing from you.

Comments: I'm looking for anyone who served in the Army in Korea in 1968/1969 with my late husband Charles Max Rhyne. He passed away in 2005, with a rare brain disease that affected his automatic system, and I believe it was from being exposed to Agent Orange. Has anybody else suffered from anything similar? Listed on his DD214 form is B Co. 7th Med. BN, 7th Inf. Div.

Comments: My father was in Korea around before 1965. I had always wondered what he had done there. I believe he was army. Any information would be appreciated. I know he was out of Fort Eustis, because I was born there (1965) and we moved back home to Massachusetts 10 days after.
