EQUALITY WITH RESPECT TO VETERAN DIOXIN EXPOSURE PRESUMPTION FOR ALL VETERANS

Comments: Equality with respect to Veteran dioxin exposure presumption
for all Veterans

Hi,

Currently only veterans of the Vietnam Conflict are afforded
this in a limited presumption, Boots on GroundÂť legislation, if
they were in the Republic of Vietnam (Served in the Republic of
Vietnam between 1/9/62 and 5/7/75) per the Department of
Veterans Affairs. In fact any current end date for any location
would be invalid as Dioxins stay active for much longer than
the time since the 1962 admitted RVN Agent Orange / Dioxin
start date, current end date is the end date for RVN service,
per the DVA. I was in an exposed unit, one of many and in many
countries, not recognized by the DVA.

That's why I created a petition to The United States House of
Representatives, The United States Senate, and President Barack
Obama.

We the undersigned petition the US Senate, US Congress and the
President of the United States to enact legislation that makes
ALL veterans have equal presumption of exposure to Dioxins
while in the service of the United States at any location or
unit. We feel that ALL veterans MUST be treated equally with
respect to Dioxin exposure by the US government and Department
of Veterans Affairs.

NOTE: Veterans must also still prove they have a recognized
condition, that maybe caused by Dioxin exposure, during or
after service to get DVA benefits.

Any one 18 can sign.
If effected vet make sure you add your statement in comment
area too!

Comments: I am working with the VA on a claim to determine service
connection for Diabetes due to exposure. I served with the
2/76th FA from Nov 67 through Dec 68 at Camp St Barbara. Since
my unit apparantly is not on a VA list of authorized units, I
need Buddy Statements that prove that the Battalion conducted
field missions in/and near the DMZ. Info about our MSA using
defolients to clear the area between fences and outside the
gates would also help. Any assistance is appreciated.

Comments: This is directed to anyone who has requested his or her records
out of NPRC and when they came you were missing part or all of
your personnel file and when you ask DFAS for your pay records
they were also missing. There are congressmen and senators
asking questions about records and finding out that the issue
of missing records is bigger than first thought. If you are
missing anything out of your personnel files or pay records or
medical records use the 1-866-727-4894 number and callyour
Representative and Senators and tell them that you too are
missing part or all of your of your records. Congress needs to
know that it is more than Afghanistan and Iraq that are missing
records. Also tell them you know about the files that were
found last summer that DOD promptly classified before the
records could be accessed by the VA or anyone else. The more
of you who speak up ASAP the faster something will get done to
solve the problems with records.

Comments: I was stationed at 512th Heavy Maintenance Company in
Korea during March of 1968- MArch of 1969. Our compound
was right outside of ASCOM Depot, where everyone that
came into the country was processed. We were a separate
compound from ASCOM Depot. I have had numerous medical
problems that I have since learned may have been caused
by exposure to Agent Orange while I was deployed in
Korea. I have diabetes, kidney disease (to the extent
that my doctor has been talking about dialysis),
ischemic heart disease and have had Bypass surgery to
repair 2 valves and two stints in my heart to repair
clogged arteries.I have also had cardio-ablation for
what doctors have called afib and aflutter...I truly
believe all these medical problems were primarily
caused by exposure to Agent Orange from my time in
Korea. I have pictures that were taken from the hills
around my compound where there is no vegetation growing
anywhere. I also have a picture taken on a hill near
ASCOM that is stripped of vegetation. ASO... We were a
support unit for the 7th and the 2nd Infantry. We had
record service where our wreckers would go to DMZ and
pick up broke down vehicles. I remember some of these
vehicles were coated in a sticky substance that we
were not made aware of what it was. I believe now this
coating to have been Agent Orange. I helped to
service these vehicles and we had to physical touch
them and I believe this is where the exposure came into
play. If anyone that was there during the same time has
had similar problems could please contact me via
Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?
id=100005464896117&fref=ts or via email
I would truly appreciate
any help with this matter. I have been denied
compensation twice by the VA and am on my 3rd appeal. I
have already had a compensation exam and an Agent
Orange environmental exam and the VA is denying that it
was sprayed near our unit. They are saying that it was
only sprayed near DMZ. I need help proving that we
were exposed. Our company was located 17 miles South of
DMZ near Ascom. Thank you so much for your replies and
any help is TRULY appreciatedÂ… Jack Thompson

Comments: I am trying to confirm that an HJ missile misfired in it's silo in 1963.

You may have been told that the Army was blowing up some old munitions is what you heard but then you noticed that the area was fenced off and you were told to stay out.

My husband was one of the permeter guards on the sight before the engineers got there with fencing etc.

Comments: I went to Korea in 1968 and stayed till june of 1969.
my mos was 76d20 when I got there and that lasted 1
day. I reported in and my co told me that he didnt
have a place in his co for an ord parts spec. as of
that moment I was an infantry man. I saluted and
walked the hell out of his office. I knew that as of
that momentmy a-- was out!!! I spent some of the
coldest and hottest days of my life in that dam
foxhole. I was there At J.S.A. the day the Pueblo
crew came back into our side and I was dam proud to
be an American then And I still am today.I remember
that politicians said we couldn't shoot unless we
we're shot at. our co told us we could fly home
sitting in a seat or zipped up in a body bag. it made
perfect sense to me.

died in 2005 from MDS, lung cancer, heart attack,

a Rok soldier friend named Jun Soo Noong or Woong
Pussan in Korea. If you have any information on
agent orange being used at that time, please let
me know. Linda Whiteside
