Comments: I am seeking any info in regards to my father's military service with the Marines. All I have to go on is group photo from 1951-San Diego Marine Corps. Sargent listed as C. E. Schoeff. My father's name was Robert(Bob) Walter Immel and he was from Dotyville, Eden, Fond du Lac Wisconsin. He passed at age 51. My mother just passed. I regret not learning more about my father's time in the Marines. I do know that he was engaged to my mother Donna Mae Lefeber while in the service. He wanted to marry my mother in CA. but she was afraid to fly to CA.

Comments: I am trying to find anyone who may have served with my father Edward "Mickey" Howard. May have been called "Zap" also. We know next to nothing about his service, he never talked of it and died in 1991 when I was 11. I would love to know more about him, what he did, and when he served. Our family received a flag upon his passing and great benefits, yet he only retired as PFC. Buried at Beaufort national Cemetery, Korean War on headstone.

Comments: Hi,
I am a Retired Navy Veteran 1986-2006, and i am looking for any information and pictures for my wife's dad
Lowell Winfred (Winford) Gregory, graduated boot camp Platoon 77 Fourth Recruit Battalion, MCRD Parris Island S. C. March 27 1951.
Then went to San Diego Ca. after that. Is what we heard.
I also heard that he was a DI but it is hard for me to see him as a DI with only 1 stripe, and he got out in 1952??...
He was Born May 29 1929 Paragon, Morehead, Rowan County Ky.
He died In Dayton Montgomery county Ohio, May 9 2001.
I am trying to get any info for my wife because he never talked to her about when he was in the Marines, except for 1 picture we found, his boot camp graduation picture.
And the picture is very distorted and blurry we cannot make out any faces.
Any info and pictures would be a great asset, and a surprise to my wife,
as she was a only child and did not really know her father.

Comments: My former husband was Julius B. McCrary and was known as "Buster" by his family but most of his marine buddies called him "Mac" or "JB". I am trying to find a copy of the bulletin or newspaper that showed a picture of the football players back in either 1949 or 1950. He was in the center of the picture and if I remember correctly, he was holding the ball. I think he was a quarterback. He has six living children that would be so tickled to have a copy of that picture. He died in 1971. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Comments: Ray Sizemore was my uncle and a Marine Veteran. He served in the Korean War, but I am not sure in what capacity. I do know that he was also a DI and was stationed in Hawaii for some time. He is big part of the reason that I joined the Navy. I wanted to serve my country, as well.

I have another uncle named Roy D. Collier who was KIA in Korea by hostiles. He served in the Army. He was and is still greatly missed.
