Comments: Would like to let anyone that knew my Dad Albert Allen Jouglard during the years 1954-1955 on Kwajalein that he passed away December 6, 2008 at the Dallas VA Nursing Home Hospice Care Unit from Liver Cancer. During his life he had MS, Trigeminal Neuralgia and then Hepatitis and Liver Cancer. He worked in Personnel on Kwajalein and also helped with building the outdoor theatre. When he was discharged his rank was PO2. Anyone wishing to write me may do so and if you would like a copy of his obituary let me know and I will send it to you. It has a photo of him in his blue Navy uniform. I grew up hearing about his time on Kwajalein and learning about the Navy. He is missed by his family and the many friends who attended his funeral which had the Honor Guard there to play Taps and present my Mom with the Flag.My Brother is a member of the Patriot Guard and asked the North Texas Chapter of Patriot Guard to come to his funeral and stand up for him. Comments: My father's records were destroyed in the fire of 1973. His records are not able to be reconstructed. I would like any information anyone has on Corporal Richard L. Snider. He was from Spooner, WI and served from approx. 2/51 through 12/52. I know he was frontline artillery but little else. Lots of the photos I have from my Grandmother have Yonchon Korea 10/51 on the back of them.

Comments: My Neighbor passed away leaving me with two beautiful albums of photos taken of her husband and many other navy personel when they were in Kwajalein in 1952/3. Many photos of the city, as well as group photos of the men, and photos taken in the "EM Club" (I think) I never knew the husband, James L Rumery. There is a photo of a ship and the caption reads Fred C Ainsworth, so I guessed that he was on that ship. I would like to put these albums in the hands of someone who was there at the time or someone who would appriciate them. I don't know where to begin to look for a place to send them. Any help would be appriciated, James had no family that I know of. Thank you, Joni Saunders

Comments: We had a cruise book which had a dedication to a sailor who was killed aboard ship. I believe he was killed during a refueling at sea. We also lost a sailor on the flight deck when he backed up into a prop during operations. If I could get a cruise book I would greatly appreciate it, but if I could get the exact name of the sailor that was mentioned in the dedication (Travis Jones?) that would also be a great help.

We served together in Special Services at Norfolk Air Station between 1953-1955. We went to Richmond VA for a state championship meet in 1954 where Ray broke the state records in the 132lb class and our buddy "Bruce Randall" broke all the records in the Heavy weight class. (Skinny ole me I came in 3rd in the 165lb class) Ray's ambition was to become a Chiropractor after leaving the Navy. Anyone who served in Special Services, NAS, Norfolk 1953-1955 please contact me.

Comments: All I have of my father's memory is a big box full of photos he took before I was born. The information I have been able to piece together is that he joined the Navy at 17, 1952, because his father told him if he didn't want to finish high school he had to learn a trade in the service. I found his resume in his things when I was a kid, before my mother threw everything away. I learned that he studied electronics and eventually was employed by Motorola installing and repairing radiology equipment at hospitals. Most of the photos I have are sailors and scenes in alaska. My dad died suddenly when I was 4 from a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. I remember nothing about my dad except for some fleeting visual memories as a toddler. I have always missed him terribly and no one will talk to me about him. He's been dead for 31 years so I am really the only one who is interested in him anymore.
Two men were identified on some of his pics: "Rip" and Fred Shields.
I am only hoping that someone will remember Robert "Bob" Haines and pass on anything they might want to tell me.
Thank You- Barbara Haines

Comments: I do not know much about my father, but I recently found out he has passed away in 2000 and served in the Navy (1953-1957?). He was on USS Shenandoah (AD26) at Portsmouth Va. His name was Marshall Schuler ('Marsh'). I would appreciate any stories or information you may have about him and/or the ship. Thank you, and God Bless

Comments: We were the service squadron for VP 40 between 1951 & 1953 at Sangley Point in the Philippines.
Did members of our squadron receive any kind of recognition for this service during or after the Korean War?
